There was a full house of victories in the Club for our Senior teams this weekend.

The 1st XV produced an excellent second half performance to defeat Penallta 43-12 in the WRU Championship East fixture at Mount Pleasant Park.

The green and golds kept the crowd entertained with some really good rugby particularly in that second period which resulted in some fine scores. Adam Ashford, Lewis James, Lloyd James, Ewan Roberts, James Davies and Cody Baker all grabbed good tries plus there was an award of a penalty try. Baker also added three conversions.

Credit must also go to Penallta who played their part in a good game and kept battling right up until the final whistle.

The win keeps Beddau in fifth spot in the league as they go into the final straight of what has been a hugely improving and encouraging campaign.

The Chuckles, despite being hit with a few injuries and 1st team call ups, earned an impressive 33-5 win at Aberdare on Friday evening in the Ivor Williams Cup 1/4 final.

Skipper Danny Hunt, Christian Bird, Owain Cotter, Chris Rees and the returning Fin Baker all crossed for tries with Ollie Wilde kicking four conversions.

Beddau now book their place in the last four of the competition which they won last season.

The Youth XV were also impressive as they took the spoils in the away derby at Pontyclun. 

Ethan Forkin grabbed a brace of tries whilst there was also good scores from Alfie Egan and Max Luke. Egan was also succesful kicking two conversions and a penalty to give Beddau the 27-10 win.

This was another pleasing perfomance from Beddau as they continue to develop into a strong squad.

It was also pleasing for the Club to hear reports from Pontyclun RFC afterwards on how the Youth behaved at their Club. Well done to all those involved.

Curently there is just one fixture this weekend as the 1st XV welcome Cardiff Met to Mount Pleasant Park in another tough WRU Championship East fixture. Kick off is 7.30pm.
