Our Youth XV ended a hugely memorable and successful season by being crowned Blues North Plate Champions yesterday after a 29-0 win over a hard working and never say die Dowlais at the Wern, Merthyr.
The Plate title will be added to that of the Blues Trophy Tier One league winners success that was achieved a month ago.
An excellent crowd gathered as the Green and Golds started well and went on to run in five excellent tries. Cameron Ellis crossed for two excellent scores and there were also good five point scores for Jac Rogers, Travis Warhurst and Ethan Harries. Kalum Bundy was again on the scoresheet with two conversions.
The double success was down to a huge amount of effort from the whole squad particularly since the turn of the new year. They along with all the coaches and back room staff deserve all the plaudits, the Club and the supporters are hugely proud of their achievements.
Team manager Justine Morris and the coaching team wish to thank all the supporters that made their way up to Merthyr yesterday. They really appreciated it and it no doubt inspired the players on to their success.
