Beddau To Be On Their Guard Against Black Army

On Saturday our second XV resume their Mid District Championship season with a home fixture at Mount Pleasant Park against neighbours Llantrisant (2.30pm).

Over the last few seasons the games have always been tight affairs with Beddau edging the contests, but the Black Army will certainly be up for changing that statistic this weekend and also getting revenge for the Ivor Williams Cup final loss that we inflicted on them at the end of the season.

Llantrisant have started the season with a 24-0 league win at Tylorstown on the opening Saturday of the season followed by a 12-10 defeat at Abercynon last Saturday.

Beddau will be looking to bounce back from their  30-17 defeat against early league leaders Brecon on September 8th which has been their only competitive game of the season.

There is always a fierce rivalry between the Clubs on the field but there will always be a good friendship and craic between players and supporters off the field.

Match referee is Mr Phil Hogg.
