Our 2nd XV are in Worthington Mid District Championship action tomorrow and will be making the trip up the Cynon Valley to take on a good Mountain Ash outfit.
The Green and Golds have a fifty per cent winning record from their opening two league games of the season and currently sit in fourth in the table which is a place and a point behind their hosts this Saturday.
The Old Firm have played at every opportunity during this season and have enjoyed a good away league win over Tylorstown (34-12) as well as friendly wins over Abergavenny (34-19), Aberdare (21-14) and Dowlais (64-0). Their only reverse this season was a tight 12-10 home defeat to Nelson in the league.
Games between the two sides are always close fought affairs and Saturday's encounter which is going to be played at their Caedrawnant ground should be no different.
Kick off is 2.30pm and the match referee is Mr Matthew Croll.
