Youth Look To End Half Term With Good Performance

Our Youth XV will finish the first part of their season on Saturday when they welcome a good Aberdare outfit to Mount Pleasant Park in the Blues Premiership (Blues Section).

This will be the final fixture of this league with a new competition begining in the New Year.

The young Green and Golds will finish the term in a good and solid mid-table position with a win which is an excellent achievement in their first season back in the top tier.

Some of Beddau's league performances have deserved better results. They have been pipped on a few occasions but the coaching group can be more than pleased with how the team and individuals are developing.

Aberdare come to Beddau knowing a win on what is also their last league fixture of the opening season split could see them jump to the top of the table.

The young Snakes have won four of their seven league encounters this season. They have enjoyed good wins over Abercynon (13-0), Cardiff Quins (15-8), Rumney (26-13) and Builth Wells (27-14) plus getting a 3-3 draw at Cowbridge. Their only losses have come against the two teams above them currently in the table, Pontypridd (21-7) and Cardiff Met (10-5).

The Cynon Valley outfit have also reached the last eight of the WRU Youth Cup where they will host Brynmawr in the New Year.

Kick-off at Mount Pleasant is 2.30pm and the match referee is Mr Mark Williams.
