Beddau Head For Tough Wanderers Encounter

Our 1st XV are again in WRU Specsavers National Championship action tomorrow as they make the trip down to the Ely Memorial ground to take on Glamorgan Wanderers.

The Green and Golds will be hugely encouraged by last weekends victory over Maesteg Harlequins and will be looking to double their league wins for the season against the newly promoted outfit.

The Ely based Club though will have plenty to say on where the points go this weekend and will also go into the game full of confidence. They have enjoyed a fantastic start to the season with just one loss in their opening four league games. They started the campaign with an impressive 22-8 away win at Maesteg Quins then followed it up with a hard fought 27-24 success  at home to Tata Steel. They gave highly fancied Bargoed a run for their money before losing out 32-16 a fortnight ago and then returned to winning way last Saturday with a 20-14 win at Cross Keys.

Last Saturday saw the return to 1st team action for Bradley Coombes, Jack Perkins and Ross Barnes after lay-offs. The coaching team are hoping that one or two other injured players will become available tomorrow and cause further big selection headaches.

Kick off is 2.30pm and the match referee is Mr Steffan Edwards.
