Treble Success

It was another fantastic Saturday afternoon for our senior sides in the Club as they all recorded excellent victories.

The 1st XV kept their spot at the top of the WRU Admiral Championship East table and remain unbeaten after a 48-16 win at a battling Treorchy.

Sam Edwards and Owain Cotter lead the way on the try scoring chart with a try double each while Ethan Coombes, Harri Bryant and player coach Lewis James also got over the whitewash for good scores.

Cody Baker took over responsibility for the goal kicking and had a good afternoon slotting five conversions and a penalty.

This was another big win for the green and golds against opposition who kept fighting until the death.

The coaching group will be happy to have seen the likes of Cotter, Will Reeves and Iuaen Williams step up in recent weeks and show that they are capable of being first team players.

There will be a break in action now until early December when Beddau travel to Gowerton in the Championship Cup quarter final.

The Chuckles continued their impressive early season form with a big 41-11 win at Mountain Ash in the WRU Conference.

Beddau now have a huge lead at the top of the table thanks to tries from skipper Peter Isaac, Lewis David, Travis Warhurst, Gethin Rogers, Luke Davies and Callum Cox. Shaun Bennett continued his good form with the boot  adding four conversions and a penalty.

Coaches Jason Powell, Dean Barnes and Tom Preece would again be happy with a strong performance against good opposition.

The Youth were also back in action and kept the crowd entertained at Mount Pleasant Park with a 12-5 friendly win over a good Pencoed outfit.

Captain Rhod Chatterley and Max Luke crossed for the tries with Alfie Egan kicking a conversion in the hard fought win.
