Saturday Round Up

All three of our senior sides put in battling performances yesterday in the sunny weather conditions.

The 1st XV were left bitterly disappointed that they didn't get all the points in their WRU National Championship fixture with Bedwas after a fantastic battling second half performance put to bed a poor first forty minutes that gifted the hosts a twenty points start.

Cameron Ellis and Callum Wheeler scored tries for the Green and Golds and Hywel Chatham kicked a penalty and conversion but it proved to be a  little too short as the game finished 20-15 to the visitors.

Beddau did take a losing bonus point and have lots of positives again as they prepare for their fourth tough fixture of the campaign at Cardiff Met next weekend.

Our 2nd XV got the first win of their Worthington Mid District Championship campaign with a hard fought 27-24 success at Senghenydd. The lead changed hands several times through out the game but Beddau battled hard to the death to take the spoils and get their first points of the season.

Our Youth XV recorded impressive back to back wins and performances as they put their mid-Wales hosts Builth Wells to the sword. The young Green and Golds grabbed all the points with a 50-0 victory against a never say die Builth outfit at their Groe ground.
