1sts & Chuckles Enjoy Bonus Points

Both the 1st XV and 2nd XV enjoyed excellent bonus point league victories on the weekend.

The 1st XV travelled to Parc Dyffryn Pennar to take on a Mountain Ash outfit who are always tough opposition particularly at their home ground.

In hot weather the green and golds started off where they left off with the Talywain result last weekend playing some good attractive rugby.
James Davies was again in good form grabbing  a hatrick of tries whilst there was also some excellent scores from Dylan Williams, Ewan Roberts and Cody Baker. Baker had another good day with the boot slotting four of the six conversions to take his points tally for the first two games of the season to 38.

Again the coaches will have been happy with the performance against tricky opposition but have a lot to work on in preparation for Saturday's early season top of the table clash against Rumney at Mount Pleasant Park.

The Chuckles started their WRU Conference campaign in fine style by beating Llanishen 69-21 in the capital.

Luke Davies matched his brother James' hatrick of tries with an excellent all round performance. William Harford weighed in with a good brace whilst Jamie Kendall, Owain Cotter, Luke Jones, Caelum Cox, Gethin Rogers and skipper Peter Isaac all crossed the whitewash.
Dan Rees was on target with four conversions, and Kallum Bundy (2) and Owain Cotter (1) also slotted two pointers.

This was a great to start for the boys who will also be keen to make improvements in readiness for their next league game.

The Youth XV's scheduled home game with St Peters was postponed at the request of the visitors. It left the young green and golds without a warm up for this weekends Cardiff Rugby Premiership tie at Fairwater.
