2nds Aiming To Retain Cup

Our 2nd XV will be going all out to regain the Ivor Williams Cup tomorrow evening as they take on Ystrad Rhondda at Graig Park, Penygraig.

Beddau were triumphant over local neighbours Llantrisant in an excellent final at Sardis Road last summer and will have to put on another top performance if they are to retain a trophy that the Club has a long association with.

Ystrad Rhondda have enjoyed another good season, they have won all of their five league games that they have played which included a 19-0 win over Beddau at Gelligalad Park at the end of March. The Rhondda Club reached the final after a quarter final win over Porth Harlequins and a bye by Brecon in the semi-final whilst the Green and Golds made it through after a nail biting 18-16 win over a very good Rhydyfelin outfit in their semi-final. That victory will have given Beddau a huge boost leading into the final.

A good crowd is once again expected at Graig Park and we wish all our players, coaches and back room staff all the best for the game.

Kick-off is 7.15pm and the match officials are – referee Mr Ricky Davies, AR1 Tom Griffin, AR2 Jason Elward, AR4 Craig Endicott, AR5 Kurtis Oliss.
