Our 1st XV will be going all out this evening to reach another Worthington Mid District Cup final, but they know they will have their work cut out as they face a very good Bedlinog outfit for the second time in eleven days.
The teams met in the National Championship at Mount Pleasant Park on the opening Saturday of April and it was the Green and Golds who took vital points with a nail-biting 23-17 win. Games between the Clubs over the years have been extremely tight with the home teams more often than not coming out on top. But with a neutral venue of Abercynon this evening it could go anyway.
The Mid District Cup has always been a massive tournament to win for Beddau and Lewis Egal and his team will be hoping to breach the Foxes challenge and book a place in the final against Gilfach Goch in a game that would be played at Sardis Road on Wednesday May 15th.
Kick off at Y Parc is 7.15pm.
