Our Youth XV will face a lengthy coach trip to Gwernyfed this Saturday in their third Blues Championship North fixture of the season.

The young Green and Golds have had a decent start to their new campaign winning one and losing one in the league and picking up several friendly victories. They also gave an impressive display against the top Uruguayan outfit Carrasco Polo on Wednesday evening.

That first league victory of the season came against a very good Brecon outfit at Yorkdale a fortnight ago. This Brecon side have been the only opposition Saturday’s hosts have faced in the league and it was Brecon who were victorious in that fixture by 29-20.

Beddau’s coaching team will be hoping that their young squad will start to take on board the lessons they have learnt in previous games against more experienced teams.

Gwernyfed have an excellent set up and play a big part in their community. It is a well-run Club who really are promoting the game at all levels in mid-Wales. A warm welcome will be offered to our young guns on Saturday that is for sure.

Kick-off at Trefecca Road is 2.30pm.
