Youth Face Tough Aberdare Friendly

Our Youth XV take a break from Blues Trophy action this weekend as they travel to Aberdare for a friendly action.

The Cynon Valley side have two teams playing competitive rugby in the Blues league this season. Their first team play their trade in the Premiership where they won one of their nine games and finished the season in ninth place. Their development team have enjoyed a hugely successful season in the Blues Conference where they took the title with an excellent record of six wins from seven games.

Beddau are currently enjoying a good run, having just lost once in 2019. Their last victory came on Saturday in a Blues Trophy game against Gwernyfed at Mount Pleasant Park. The 19-0 result was pleasing but the coaches were more happy with the teams all round performance and game management which is proving to them that the work they are doing on the training paddock is beginning to help them develop as individuals and as a team.

Kick off at Aberdare is 2.30pm and match referee is Mr Craig Endicott.
