Behind every rugby team there is a group of hard working back room staff and our Club is very lucky to have such a good team.

When the Club went through a hugely tragic time at the beginning of last season they were concerned how players, officials, members and supporters would react to the hugely upsetting time. So after doing a lot of soul searching the Club approached Andrew Williams, a keen supporter of the Club, who was and still is the pastor of Beddau Community Church to help anybody with any problems.

After discussions Andrew was hugely keen to become the Club chaplain and has been a huge part of the Club ever since. He even has one of the best training records as he is an almost ever present at training and match days apart from when he is not watching his beloved Cardiff City.

As the Chaplain at the Club, his role now provides an impartial and confidentialpoint of contact to talk about any matters individuals may be worried about on or off the field, offering pastoral and spiritual support. The support is offered to all who are connected with the Club including coaches, players, administrators, staff and families.

The Club and Andrew are more than aware of the mental health issues in young men and hope this service will enable them to seek some sort of support.

Andrew is a well known and well loved character of the Community, he is a proud "Nanter" having lived for many years in Mildred Street amongst well known rugby families like the Lloyds and Bressingtons. 

We thank Andrew for his commitment to our Club and Community and look forward to working with him again during our 2018/19 campaign.
