Carrasco Enjoy Their Night Under The Lights

Beddau proudly welcomed one of Uruguay's leading Clubs Carrasco Polo to Mount Pleasant Park for a friendly fixture between both Clubs Youth teams last night.

Conditions were not fantastic but both sides played some nice rugby, with the tourists enjoying the better of the first period whilst Beddau took more control in the second half and seemed to get better as the game went on.

The visitors made use of their early possession and territory to go in at the interval leading by 14-0. Beddau responded in the second half with a try from Kian Taylor but despite creating several other opportunities they could not cross the whitewash meaning the tourists were victorious on the night by 14-5.

Carrasco showed plenty of spirit and were extremely well drilled and coached. These players will be playing in the top level of the Uruguayan league in the next few seasons and are expected to become Internationals.

Beddau can take a lot from this game against a fantastic team as they prepare for the Blues Championship league game at Gwernyfed on Saturday.

Everybody at the Club wishes Carrasco Polo all the best for the future and hope you all enjoy the remaining part of what will be an unforgettable tour.

Maybe a return fixture could be arranged??
