Bienvenido Carrasco Polo

A warm welcome awaits Uruguayan Club Carrasco Polo to Mount Pleasant Park this evening

Our Youth XV proudly host their under 19s team who are currently on tour in the UK (7.30pm).

Carrasco Polo are from Montevideo and their name references directly to the polo team and the fact that Carrasco has one of Uruguay's leading equitation centres.

The Club is home to several sports like polo, field hockey, football and tennis as well as rugby union.

Rugby was established at the Club in 1949 and is now more renowned for rugby than it's title name of polo.

The Club has won 27 national league senior titles and remarkably had 12 players involved in the Uruguayan National squad for the 2003 World Cup.

Diego Ormaechea, arguably the greatest Uruguayan International of all time, played all his career at Carrasco and is currently the head coach of the Club.

It is an honour for the Club to host such prestigious company this evening. We hope that you can all join us and give this great Club a good Beddau and Welsh welcome.
