1sts, 2nds and Youth All In Action This Week

All three of the Clubs senior sides have games this week in the build up to Wales third Autumn International against Tonga at the Principality Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The first team will be taking a strong squad to Dowlais on Thursday evening for the Worthington Mid District Cup first round tie. This will be a tricky tie for the Green and Golds. Kick-off is 7.15pm and a full preview will be on line tomorrow.

Then on Friday the 2nd XV will be on the road as they make the trip to face old friends Ynysybwl in a friendly fixture. This will be a great opportunity for both sides to give players game time as they prepare for the re-start of the Mid District leagues. The Bwl currently play in the Mid District Conference where teams have struggled to play fixtures this season for various reasons. The Bwl have played just one league fixture and that was a thrilling 34-29 away derby win at Abercynon. They have also played several friendly fixtures and have proved they are a decent outfit on their day. This will be a good challenge for Beddau. Kick-off at the Recreation ground is 7.15pm.

The Youth XV are also in friendly action on Friday as they welcome Penarth to Mount Pleasant Park. The young Seasiders are playing their rugby in the Blues Premiership and despite only winning one of their opening five games, which was a 24-0 win over Abercynon, they have played some very good rugby. They have pushed all their opponents close and almost overcome Pontypridd Youth before being pipped 13-10.

The young Beddau side can look forward to testing themselves against quality opposition and hope to raise their game and get the result that their recent performances have deserved. Kick-off is also at 7.15pm.
