Agonising Losses For Both 1st XV and Youth

It was another tough afternoon for our teams yesterday as both the 1st XV and Youth XV were beaten.

The 1st XV statistician will again be looking through the video  today and will be trying to put together how this was another close loss. Despite tries from man of the match Josh Thomas, Ben Stephens and Rhys Owens plus a penalty and a conversion from Hywel Chatham the Green and Golds were beaten 25-20 to a gritty Newbridge outfit.

There was again controversy as Beddau were deemed to have been held up over the line three times in a short period at the end of the first half which in the end cost them dearly. But it is another case of dusting themselves down and look forward to Thursday's Mid District Cup tie at Dowlais then a huge derby game at Rhydyfelin on November 24th.

Full report to follow.

The Youth XV performances have been very similar to the 1st XV this season and again yesterday it was the same as our young guns dominated periods of the game and built up a 15-3 lead only to be pipped 22-15 by Brecon in Merthyr.

It was another tough result to take but there are signs of improvement each week and it will only be a matter of time before results will start turning their way.
