Youth Face Bwl Challenge

Our Youth XV return to Blues Championship North league action on Saturday as they welcome Ynysybwl to Yorkdale.

Games between both Clubs over the years have been hugely competitive and very close and Saturday's fixture will no doubt follow this.

The "Bwl" have lost their opening two league games. They were beaten 32-7 by a very strong Ystrad Rhondda outfit and were just beaten 20-12 at Brecon recently. They may be sitting bottom of the table at the moment but are sure to rise the table in the future weeks.

Beddau will be putting all the stops out this weekend to ensure that it is not this week though that Ynysybwl start climbing that ladder. The young Green and Golds currently occupy mid-table with a win and two narrow losses. They could arguably be still unbeaten if it wasn't for minor mistakes but they will hopefully have put to bed them errors in preparation for Saturday's game.

The teams played twice last season in the league and honours were shared. Beddau won their home fixture by 24-7 but the Bwl took the spoils at their Recreation ground by 14-10.

Dai Bartlett, one of Beddau's new coaching group, will be keen this Saturday to get one over his old Club.

Kick-off is 2.30pm and match referee is Mr Wayne Lewis.
