Our 2nd XV will return to Mid District Championship action on Saturday as they welcome unbeaten Ystrad Rhondda to Mount Pleasant Park.
The Rhondda men have played just three league games this season and have won every one of them. Their last league outing at the end of October was an excellent 50-12 win over Rhondda rivals Cambrian Welfare. They have also recorded hard fought wins over Dowlais (15-10) and Mountain Ash (15-5). They currently occupy sixth spot in the table which is two places higher and with seven points more than the Green and Golds.
Beddau can go into this game with confidence restored after giving a Porth Harlequins outfit with a heavy contingent of first team players a run for their money last Friday before just coming up short at the final whistle.
The squad is also getting good numbers returning after a tough few months of the season with injuries in their camp and the 1st XV squad and unavailability’s. Coaches Ben West, Liam Kumar and Riaz Majhoti will be keen to see a similar performance to that of last Friday’s game and pick up some important league points.
Kick-off is 2.30pm.
