Rain Fails To Dampen Great Day

The heavy rain fall did not stop a good turn out for the wonderfully organised Palk v Hole fixture at Windsor fields on the weekend.

The communities of Beddau and Pontyclun got together to pay tribute to two of its favourite sons and what a day it was.

It all kicked off with the mini and junior section games followed by the main game of Hole team (Pontyclun) versus Palk team (Beddau). Despite tries from Rhodri Bwye who is now playing his trade at Maesteg Quins, Owain Cotter and James Davies, Beddau were beaten 24-19. Among the highlights of the game was Riaz Majhoti's goal kicking exploits. He missed but Glenn Slater slotted his opportunity with ease.

After the game, all the players and supporters got together for a good old fashioned drink and raise some excellent money for causes close to both Clubs hearts.

Beddau RFC would like to put on record their sincere thanks to all those that helped organise the day for the families of both boys. Also a big thank you to Pontyclun RFC for their fantastic hospitality once again. We look forward to welcoming you back to Beddau next season where we will look to reclaim the trophy.
